Plymouth- White Horse Beach.. the water is ICE COLD and crystal clear! the waves are awesome, very refreshing on a hot summer day. Travel down Route 44 to Route 3 to Route 3A and you will see the signs directing you to this beautiful beach!
Westport- Horseneck Beach- One of my favorites! It's a state beach and the admission is about $5.00 . Get there early on weekend summer days as the parking lot fills up fast. The water is a little warmer than the Plymouth area beaches. The waves can be a little rough and there is an undertoe, so be safe. A straight shot down Route 88 gets you there.
Sagamore-Scusset Beach-Bourne MA Route 3 to 495 to 25 will get you there. This beach is calmer. If you get there for low tide, there are so many sandbars. Get your low profile chair, and sit yourself on the sandbar, relax and enjoy the salt and see air.
South Shore Beach- Little Compton RI- One of my personal favorites for the kids. It s beautiful because of the soft sugar sand and excellent for the kids because they can use their boogie boards without a hassle. Go on their website for directions, this can be complicated. Print the directions prior to leaving, cell signal strength is week on the back roads.

While you are there, You might want to visit the mansions or take a walk along Cliff Walk. Newport is beautiful area. Take advantage of sight seeing, boating, photography, you can rent a Vespa too!
